Meet Dr. Jennifer Jozwiak
Dr. Jennifer Jozwiak, DC, founded Chiropractic First in Juneau in 2006. Her love for Alaska began in childhood when she received an Alaska-themed sweatshirt from a family member. Though she had never visited before moving in 2006, she now can’t imagine living anywhere else.

Her two children have grown up in the office. She jokes that her first employee was actually the nanny she hired to care for her oldest son, Michael, who was just a baby when she opened the practice. A few years later, she welcomed her daughter, Anna. Michael worked at the front desk throughout high school, and now Anna is learning the ropes, hoping to do the same when she reaches high school.

Dr. Jozwiak comes from a chiropractic family—her uncle was a chiropractor, and from a young age, she knew she wanted to follow in his footsteps. After high school she worked for a chiropractor in Indiana and then for Dr. Richard Frankville while she attended Indiana University. Then while attending Palmer College of Chiropractic she worked for Dr. Ross Lyss who became her mentor; she completed her courses six months early and continued to work under his license until she graduated. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, where she graduated with her Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2005. While at Palmer, she had the opportunity to participate in the Palmer Clinic Abroad Program, traveling to Bolivia to provide chiropractic care.

Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Jozwiak continually expands her expertise through ongoing education. She holds additional certifications in Webster’s Technique, Pediatric Cranial SOT, NET, and has attended extensive training in nutritional supplements.

Taking a natural approach to wellness, Dr. Jozwiak focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of her patients’ health concerns. She works closely with them to promote healing from within, guiding lifestyle adjustments to support long-term well-being.
